Q: Why use LEDs?
A: LED-based lighting is becoming very popular in the emergency services for several reasons. LED's are small, completely solid state, very power-efficient, and have no filaments to burn out.
Whether as lightbars or single beacons, LED-based lights typically use a clear, colorless dome because the light color is an intrinsic property of the diodes themselves. LED-based lightbars can be made very thin to limit wind resistance. On the other hand, LED warning lights can be made very flat and used in novel applications, for example to flip up under a sun visor.
LED lights are often used in a mode similar to conventional strobe lights, however they can be programmed with a wider variety of flash patterns because of their ability to be switched directly by electronics, as opposed to discharging a capacitor through a gas-filled tube.
Q: So Many look-a-likes out there. Why buy from here?
A: NWPSS will not sell an item that we wouldnt use ourselves. There are many reprodcuctions on the market which just are not the same product.
These "fakes" are often mistaken for similar item that we sell.
One good reason to buy from us, Axixtech are SAE Certified and have very good Warranties. Really that should be enough reason, but i'll go on.
The Slither and Verve series LED Lightbars are VERY popular with the "Fake Makers". With little diffrences, both bars are near identicle to the shopper.
Below is an example of the Gen 3, 1 Watt LED Module found in Slither and Verve Lightbars and the common Module found in the "Fake" Lightbars.
Notice the amount of heat syncs used on the Slither.
Below is an example of the cheap curcuity used on the "Fake" bars on the left. Along with being soldered, the Slither and Verve are also coated to prevent loose wires or corrosion, helping our products to be maintinance free
Pic below shows two Red Modules. You may not be able to see the difference here, but there was considerbly more light coming from the Slither Module rather than the "Fake" Module.
Pics were taken in same position, 30 seconda apart in the same light.
